Last year I stumbled across the Jones Soda Co. web site. They invite any/everyone to submit snapshots to their online gallery for possible use on their labels, which are changed almost monthly. It's wildly successful - there are more than a quarter of a million images in the Jones gallery archive!
This is a pretty clever method of advertising and promotion because it is largely consumer-driven. When a photo is used on a label, the lucky photographer will naturally spread the news far and wide and, since distribution is random, it sparks a sort of "easter egg" hunt for the pix.
The site and products are pretty much geared to the "skateboard" crowd, but I submitted a couple dozen pix just for the fun of it anyway.

Jones Soda is available in local grocery and convenience stores, restaurants and delis across the U.S. and Canada, and nationally in Target Stores, Panera Bread, Starbucks, Cost Plus World Market, Barnes & Noble Cafes, and Zumiez. Distribution of labels is random, so I have no idea when, or where, these will show up. Please let me know if / when / where you find my pix. |
